Government of Telangana has formed "SC SPECIAL DEVELOPMENT FUND(SCSDF)" & "ST SPECIAL DEVELOPMENT FUND" for the FY 2017-18 duly ear marking the required funds in proportion to SC/ST population. The out lay of SC SPECIAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDS for the year 2017-18 is Rs.14375.13 crores, which accounts for 16.33% in the total outlay of Pragathi Paddhu (Rs.88038.80 Crores) of Annual Budget of Financial year 2017-18. The outlay of the ST Special Development Fund is Rs.8165.87Cr i.e. 9.27% of total Pragatipaddu outlay of the State. Under SCSDF various innovative schemes such as purchase of Agriculture land, Kalyana Laxmi, Asara pensions, drinking water to households, health oriented schemes, Sanna Biyyam to hostels, are being proposed to continue along with some more new schemes.
Under STSDF, schemes like CM ST Entrepreneurship and innovation scheme, BT Roads to ST Habitations, Land Development programme of ST Assigned lands are newly proposed besides schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi for financial assistance to ST girls of marriageable age, special focus on tribal fairs and festivals and infrastructure support by way of strengthening infrastructure in ITDA areas, construction of Girijan bhavans/ community halls and working men/womens hostels for STs in district headquarters.
